Cancellation and Refund Policy for Courses and Events

Category 1

Withdrawal from a Course/Workshop that is part of the schedule of courses offered by HCP Reflexology Institute.

Participants withdrawing from a course, program, workshop or seminar offered and taught by HCP Reflexology Institute must be made by telephone and email confirmation -- Refund Policy is as follows:

  • up to 14 days prior to start = full refund of amount paid less cost for manual and shipping charges provided prior to course onset
  • from 7 and 13 days to start = 50% refund of amount paid less cost for manual and shipping charges provided prior to course onset
  • up to 14 days prior to start = full refund of amount paid less cost for manual and shipping charges provided prior to course onset
  • 6 days or less = no refund

Participants unable to attend courses or workshops because of "Special Circumstances" within 14 days of the scheduled start date, may apply for a Credit or Refund. A credit for the full amount paid may be applied to any future courses or workshops held by the Institute. In the event of a refund, a $50.00 or 10% administration fee, whichever is greater, will be deducted from the amount to be refunded. The application of a credit or a refund is at the sole discretion of HCP Reflexology Institute.

Special Circumstances are a bonafide medical condition or a death in the immediate family. A valid medical certification by a doctor or a notorized statement of the funeral arrangements must be submitted to the Institute before a credit or refund is issued.

Category 2

Special Events

Withdrawal from a Course/Workshop taught and provided by other Organizations or Instructors from outside the Province of British Columbia.

Participants withdrawing from a course, workshop or seminar organized by HCP Reflexology Institute but hosted and offered/taught by independent Organizations or Instructors originating from outside the Province of British Columbia must be made by telephone and email confirmation -- Refund Policy is as follows:

  • up to 30 days prior to start = full refund of amount collected less any cost for literature provided prior to course onset
  • from 14 to 29 days to start = 50% refund of amount collected less any costs for literature provided prior to course onset
  • 13 days or less = no refund ( special circumstances cannot be applied in this category due to obligatory commitments associated with the event venue and host's fees, accomodation and travel arrangements)
Cancellation of Event In the event a Course, Workshop or Seminar is cancelled at any time by HCP Reflexology Institute or the Host, all Registrants will be refunded the full amount paid.
Change in Event Dates

In the event the date of a Course, Workshop or Seminar is changed by HCP or the event's host, all Registrants will be provided the opportunity to attend the event at the rescheduled date or request a full refund of money paid without the deduction of an administration fee.

Application of Credits or Refunds Credits or reimbursements will be made within 30 days upon receipt of the application.
Causes for Participant Dismissal Participants found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who use abusive or foul language during an event or exhibit disruptive or inappropriate behaviour will be dismissed upon a verbal and/or written warning from the Instructor/Host/Event Organizer. No application for a credit or for the reimbursement of fees paid will be entertained.
